This is a rare early production run of the Goro Nyudo Masamune iaido from Nihon Antique Gallery.
The groove extending to the base of the habaki and the file-worked hamon on the are distinct features of this early-to-mid period model, differing significantly from later versions.

As it is crafted for iaido, it can be used without issue for iaido practice.
When swung, the groove crafted by artisans produces a crisp cutting sound through the air.
